YOUTH, GRADUATE AND LEARNERSHIP RECRUITMENT

Over a number of years, and through successful management of numerous learnership, internship, youth empowerment programmes and graduate development projects, Options has developed a well-designed process to effectively deliver against our clients’ specific criteria, either for large numbers of candidates in the same or similar job categories or mass recruitment of candidates in differing categories.


BACKGROUND SCREENING

Employment History Verification: This process establishes the duration of employment, positions, reporting lines and reason for leaving of each candidate.

Character or Competency Reference Checks: Reference checks are used to explore the candidates’ performance and to establish their future potential.

Online presence and profile checks / Social Media Screening: Online presence and profile checks are done to get a feel for how the candidate will conduct themselves in general as well as further verifying the information provided on their CV. These checks contribute to matching the candidate to the culture of the client.

Criminal Record Verification: Our supplier conducts remote criminal record checks against the SAPS database to determine criminal convictions using the candidate’s ID number as a reference point.

The identity of the candidate (ID Verification and ID Number Validation).

Information held by credit bureaus as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19(12) of 2014 (Experian Comprehensive and Transunion Comprehensive).

South African Drivers Licenses.

South African and international academic qualifications and professional association memberships.

Possible fraudulent activity in the workplace by an individual recorded on the South African Fraud Prevention Services (SAFPS) database (South African Fraud Check).

Directorship registration check through XDS, a registered credit bureau that has a direct connection to the CIPC database.

Options offer a comprehensive response handling service for those organisations that do not require the full recruitment service.


CAREER TRANSITION / POST RETRENCHMENT ASSISTANCE

The Options career transition counselling programme for retrenched individuals or groups assists in dealing with the stressful experience of losing a job, re-orienting to the job market, managing an effective job search and handling the transition to a new job.

This programme, designed specifically for retrenchment situations, is offered in a one-on-one, personalised, counselling setting or in a synergistic mix of one-on-one counselling and facilitated group workshops. The programme has been successfully rolled out to senior executives, managers and large groups of retrenched staff.

COURSE DETAILS

  • Your application should be made at 15 days before the start of the course.
  • Price: R 32 500 per individual (excluding VAT).
  • Please contact the programme manager for payment options.

Assessments:

  • Formative assessments are given after each section of work to conduct in-process evaluations of student comprehension, learning needs, and academic progress.
  • Students will be required to submit a portfolio of evidence after completion of each module.
  • These assessments lead to entrance into the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA).
  • The EISA will be conducted through the relevant QCTO Assessment Quality Partner (AQP) and will focus
    on the exit level outcomes and associated assessment criteria.
  • Students will complete a theoretical/knowledge assessment and a practical assessment structured as simulated activities conducted at an assessment site that is conducive for assessments.

Certification:

The QCTO will issue the qualification certificate to successful candidates on completion of the EISA.

Mlungisi Nxumalo

Skilled youth and community facilitator with significant experience in youth empowerment, personal financial literacy and work readiness. Successfully rolled out training programmes nationwide. Holds N.DIP Accounting and a B. Com degree, coupled with a fifteen-year career in accounting, chose to follow a deep interest in youth and community upliftment by developing a second career in youth and community development. Has extensive experience and skills in facilitation and development, including encouraging community participation, exploring effective training methodologies, team building, training programme design, PowerPoint presentations, public speaking and motivational talks.

Mpho Mohatle
