GOAL2WORK

The GOAL2WORK programme was developed by the Options Group, with over twenty-seven years’ experience in recruitment and career guidance.

Realising the need for a formal and well-designed job search and work readiness intervention the Options Directors’ harnessed the skills of recruitment industry experts, career specialists, educationalists and career consultants to create GOAL2WORK.

The programme empowers unemployed youth to discover their career aspirations and fulfil their right to meaningful employment. GOAL2WORK was designed, not only to develop work readiness skills, but also to foster the self-esteem and confidence necessary to conduct a powerful job search and manage interviews with self-assurance.

Execution of high-quality facilitation by trainers who have well developed skills, experience and language capabilities has ensured excellent outcomes as evidenced by the high percentage of beneficiaries who secure viable employment, return to studies or become entrepreneurs post workshop. Post Learnership Project

Managed a work readiness project for an institution involved in delivering an accredited qualification. The project encompassed contacting and briefing students and scheduling and running five-day workshops for students throughout seven provinces.

The GOAL2WORK programme encompassed job search, work readiness and computer literacy modules as well as ensuring each student received a fully prepared curriculum vitae.

The complexity and magnitude of this project required significant planning and logistics and was professionally delivered on time and to the complete satisfaction of our clients.

University / Community Projects

Successfully rolled out 50 GOAL2WORK Work Readiness Programmes (WRP) for over 1500 beneficiaries in Gauteng, Pietermaritzburg and the Northern Cape. The scope of this project required that we engage with and form partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders as well as encouraging all stakeholders to collaborate in WRP awareness campaigns. Recruitment and registration of beneficiaries was successfully conducted and GOAL2WORK training manuals, resource material and workbooks were printed and delivered to site. Some of the communities where training was delivered had very little infrastructure and presented challenges in terms of travel, logistics and facilities all of which were managed effectively.

Professional project management ensured we met every deliverable and deadline and produced informative reports, research material and analysis as well as providing a post-programme track and trace service. Registration documents, post workshop surveys, workshop reports and other documentation were captured on the Options inhouse Learner Management System (LMS) allowing for extraction of a wide variety of data. Both hard copy and online reporting was efficiently delivered well before deadline. Execution of high-quality facilitation by trainers who have well developed skills, experience and language capabilities ensured excellent outcomes as evidenced by the high percentage of beneficiaries who secure viable employment, returned to studies or became entrepreneurs post workshop. Ensuring appropriate health and safety aspects and provision of training equipment and catering was part of the professional service delivered by the Options project team.
